Server IP/HOSTNAME: supersonic1.nrgservers.net
Server Port: 3510

Additionally, there will be a message board that will be accessible @ http://furtalk.nrgservers.net and it will be up within 1-3 hours after I post this message. It will be up today.

Complications

Due to the lack of participation, interest and feedback that has been submitted to FurTalk, I've decided that I will stop taping the episodes until further notice.

However, I will be returning to furry conventions on the west coast starting in 2008 as I have started to formulate my own small convention. FurTalk will be broadcasted from the convention floor. I will be attending Califur and Further Confusion for 2008 and will be setting up my own booth.

Stay tuned for further developments.

Preview of First Episode

I'm trying to figure out how to edit video since this is my first time doing a webcast. While I'm trying to meticulously go through the process of learning, I decided that I'd take the opportunity to explain the topic of FurTalk's first webcast.

Self-Censorship
How far can we or should we go to express ourselves?

Please send all correspondence regarding this topic to alexthefurry@yahoo.com and the deadline for it is Saturday, May 12th. Additionally, you may also post comments here in this entry.

Choosing a Species for Your Fursona

For more discussion on this topic, click here.

I really enjoy listening to people's responses when I ask them why they chose to be a particular species. Every response that was given is highly individualistic and creative. When you ask someone, "Why did you choose to be a _______?" it's not like asking them, "What's your favorite color and why?" Everyone has their unique influences and inspirations.

Now if you're interested in the furry fandom and you don't know what furry animal you'd like to align yourself with, think of the following things:
  • Your favorite television shows involving anthropomorphic characters (i.e. Thundercats, TMNT)
  • Your pets (Do you own a cat? Dog? How strong of an emotional bond do you have with each pet?)
  • Your personality (Does it remind you of a certain animal?)
  • Your experiences with other animals (Visits to the zoo, the animal shelter, horse ranches etc.)
  • Books that you've read involving animals.
Let me know what kind species you chose (or will choose) and why in Comments.

Another Creative Reincarnation

For those who don't know, I had a previous emotionally charged LiveJournal account ([info]thealexcross), which has now been deleted and replaced with this new account.

Since I'm a global moderator of Yiffy.net, I'll be taking some topics of discussion from the forums as a shameless cross-promotion and will be discussing them in full length here. I'll be discussing some other topics that are not discussed on Yiffy, but most of it will be addressed in my weekly YouTube webcast, which will start airing in May.

I'll be posting some entries as soon as I have some free time on my hands. I don't have much of it anymore, but since it's my job, it's keeping a roof over my head. I can't complain.

Keep on being furry,
Aaron
